A 1v1 drill in which the attacker aims to dribble the ball through one of the two gates on the sides. Particularly suitable as a drill for practising the body feint. Players switch queues after each repetition. It can first be done without the ball, with the defender trying to touch the attacker immediately after coming through the gate.
Dribble towards the defender with short touches, the ball close to the foot and head up. Awareness before the feint: the defender’s hip and foot position, which gate opens up. In the body feint, shift the centre of gravity onto the other leg, knees bent and the centre of gravity low. A touch to beat an opponent with the outside of the foot in the other direction at the moment when the defender shifts weight towards the feint. A sharp change-of-direction step and acceleration all the way to the gate with the ball under control.
