3v2 finishing — Football Drill

Finishing, Passing, Shooting, Defending, Attacking

Three attackers start with the ball and move towards two defenders. The aim is to create numerical superiority and finish. After a goal, the attackers receive a new ball and attack the opposite goal.

Quality Factors

Decision-making: when to pass, when to shoot. Creating angles and depth for the supporting players is essential in making use of the numerical superiority.

Key Questions

• Could you have taken the shot yourself?
• Supporting players: were you wide and deep — were the angles sufficient?
• Did you hesitate for too long?
