The attacker stands with their back to goal in the centre of the area, the defender behind them. The server passes the ball to the attacker, who tries to turn and score. The defender aims to prevent the turn.
A dummy movement before receiving, the first touch shields the ball away from the defender, and an explosive turn toward goal.
Did you check over your shoulder before receiving? Where did the defender position? Did the defender know your turning direction in advance? If the turn is blocked — is a wall pass an option?
