Three-player combination: the first player passes to the second, the second lays off to the third, who has made a run into free space. The key is the third-man movement — they break away before the ball reaches the second player. Practiced in different patterns: into depth, wide, and diagonal.
The third player moves proactively, not reactively. The second player reads the third-man run. The third-man run is a fundamental tool in team attacks.
