The situation starts from a side pass from one line to the next. The crossing attacker (orange) breaks away to the side from the defender and looks to shoot immediately after the first touch. In the second variation, the attacker’s movement goes inside the defender.
Timing of the breakaway, first touch into the shooting direction, sharp acceleration away from the defender, shot selection, weight and accuracy of the pass, body position when receiving the ball.
