A diamond is formed from cones, with two players at the first cone and one player at the others. Player 1 makes the first pass to Player 2, who then returns the wall pass. Player 1 aims to make a long pass to Player 3 with the first touch. After each pass, there is always a rotation in the direction of the pass.
The first touch directs the ball forward. Passes are crisp and along the ground. Diagonal passes, opening angles, and continuous movement after the ball are the core of the exercise.
Where does the first touch direct the ball - towards the pass or to a stationary position? Are you already in motion when the ball is played? Does the pass rise into the air? Why?
