Passing and Receiving in Pairs — Football Drill

first_touch, passing · U7+

Pairs facing each other about 10 meters apart. Player A passes along the ground to Player B, who controls with a first touch and passes back with the second touch. Variation: receiving with right/left foot.

Passing and Receiving in Pairs - football drill

First touch is soft and controlled — the ball stops in a playable position. Receiving foot is relaxed, cushioning the ball on contact.

Does the ball stay within playing distance after your first touch? Could you play forward with this touch in a match? Try with your weaker foot — how does it feel?
