The field is divided into three vertical zones. The defending team sets up in the central zone as a compact block. The attacking team plays the ball in the wide zones and tries to switch play. When the ball moves, the defending block shifts as a unit toward the ball.
The defending team moves as a single unit. The distance between players stays small. Compactness, shifting the line with the ball, and timing of the press.
Does anyone stay still when the ball moves? How tight is the block — how many meters between players? Who triggers the press and on what signal?
