The drill library is now in six languages
All 122 drills in the library can now be read in English, Finnish, Spanish, German, French and Portuguese. Some drills were written in French, and an English-speaking coach now reads them in English. A drill written in Finnish shows up in Spanish for a coach in Spain.
Translated into a coach's words
Every language has its own football vocabulary, and a word-for-word translation misses it. The translations use a glossary of 64 terms, each checked against coaching sources in that language, such as the national associations' coaching material. A futsal kick-in becomes saque de banda in Spanish and Einkick in German, and a one-two is une-deux in French. Coaches read a drill in the words they use on the pitch.
The original is one click away
Above the description of a translated drill you'll see which language it was translated from, with Show original next to it. Click it and you get the text exactly as the author wrote it. The same spot takes you back to the translation.

Your drill reaches coaches in six languages
When you publish a drill to the library, it's translated into the other five languages automatically. You don't have to do anything. You write it in your language, and a coach in Lisbon or Lyon reads it in theirs.
When you copy a drill from the library, the copy comes in the language you were reading it in. A drill translated from French lands in your drills in English, ready to edit.
Every language has its own addresses
On tacticsboard.app each language has its own pages. The Spanish library is at tacticsboard.app/es/explore, and a drill lives at an address like tacticsboard.app/es/plans/rondo-con-presion-4v2. The home page, the tactics board page and the drill categories work the same way, so a search engine can find a Spanish drill through a Spanish search.

The language picker takes you to the same page in another language. If you're reading a drill in Spanish and switch to English, you stay on the same drill.

The blog and Jürgen speak the same languages
The blog's articles can now be read in the same six languages. Jürgen, the app's AI assistant, also searches drills and blog articles in the language you ask in. Ask in Spanish and the answer draws on Spanish drills.
What isn't translated yet
Text written on the pitch itself stays in its original language for now. In the picture above the pitch says Prässi and Peitto, even though the description is in Spanish. Translating that text is what we're working on next.
Tell us if a translation is off
If you spot an odd word or a term that's been translated wrong, let us know. We fix the glossary as mistakes turn up.
We'd especially like to hear from native speakers. If Spanish, German, French or Portuguese is your first language, read a couple of drills in it and tell us what sounds off. Even one note helps.
