possession, passing, dribbling · U10+
One player (shown in red, wearing a vest) is the interceptor. In the center of the area, there is a "gate" through which the ball carriers (shown as 3 blue players) try to play from one side to the other in different ways. The game is always continuous, e.g., for 1 minute at a time, and the interceptor changes. Variation 1: The ball carrier must dribble through the gate from one side to the other, then there is immediately a new 2v1 on that side, i.e., going back. Variation 2: The ball carriers must always pass through the gate to a third player, AT WHICH POINT the player who passed moves to that side for support. Variation 3: The ball carriers must always pass through the gate to a third player, AT WHICH POINT the player who DID NOT pass moves to that side for support.
First touch, observation -> quick passes and off-ball support actions. Continuous movement of the off-ball player.
How to always provide options for the ball carrier, body position so that ball control can be maintained. Can start in a slightly "oversized" space and progress to smaller.
