TacticsBoard was born from a real need. The developer coaches two youth football teams and kept running into the same problems as many other coaches.
Problems we wanted to solve
- No good free drawing tools for practice drills
- Finding drills by the right theme was tedious
- Ready-made drills could not be edited
- Complex drills were hard to visualize
- Sharing planned drills was clumsy
How we solved them
We built a modern browser-based tool for planning, animating, and sharing drills. Animations make complex drills easier to understand, and cloud sync keeps plans accessible everywhere.

TacticsBoard is a browser-based planning tool for football and futsal coaches. Coaches draw drills on a pitch, animate the movement, build training sessions from their own drills or the hundred-plus in the public library, and take them to the pitch on a phone or as a PDF. It's built for coaches who plan their own practices, from youth teams to adults, and for clubs that want the coaches of every team working from one shared drill library.
Who provides it
TacticsBoard is a product of ATK Pihlainen Oy, a Finnish limited company that develops and maintains the service. It's also the name you'll see as the payment recipient.
Languages and addresses
TacticsBoard works in six languages: Finnish, English, Spanish, German, French and Portuguese. The Finnish service is at taktiikkataulu.fi and the English one at tacticsboard.app, where the Spanish, German, French and Portuguese pages have addresses of their own, such as tacticsboard.app/es.
